Great News. Our charity won the 2017 West Country Peoples Projects Competition. Thank you very much to every one who voted for us. Without you we would not have won.

We now have a substantial grant which will allow us to reach out to more elderly people in the Forest of Dean.

We will now be able to Provide the elderly and needy with them with hot lunches, freshly cooked hot lunches delivered by volunteers from our kitchen in Cinderford; together with our befriending service.

Our Charity has been selected as candidate for a substantial award by the Peoples Project, a collaborative initiative between The National Lottery and ITV. Our pitch for the award will be broadcast on ITV West Country news on Monday 20th March in their 6 pm news programme. This is now available to view on:   Our project title is 'Catering with Compassion' and we need a hefty public vote to put us ahead of the other 4 contenders for the top prize. Freepost voting postcards are being distributed across the Forest of Dean area via our drivers and other volunteers, and are available at our charity shops in Lydney and Cinderford. A public vote will decide the outcome of the exercise  and everyone is urged to fill in a voting postcard and pop it into the nearest postbox by 29th March. Get you and your family, friends and work colleagues to vote as well........every vote will count! For further information contact Anthea at the numbers above.

Our new kitchen was officially opened by Baroness Royall on 22 June 2012 and is working well. We are currently supplying meals to a local school as well as to our core customers, the elderly and housebound.
